This watch revives the main features of the first watch designed to be worn on the wrist, namely the moon phases and power reserve indicator.
These indications, located at 12 o’clock, are directly inspired by this historic watch, just like the hours chapter and off-centred small seconds at 6 and 7 o’clock. To enliven the dial on this model, the Maison chose mother of pearl and guilloché silvered gold, combined with blued hands. The bezel and dial flange are set with diamonds, and the crown with a cabochon.

The seconds display makes it possible to follow the passage of time with precision. Depending on the construction of the movement, it may take the form of a central seconds hand or an off-centred small seconds display, integrated into the architecture of the dial.
The power reserve indicator displays the remaining autonomy of the movement before it needs to be wound. It makes it possible to monitor the energy available in the barrel, while adding a direct mechanical reading to the dial.
The moon phase reproduces the progression of the lunar cycle on the dial. A complication that is both astronomical and decorative, it combines the reading of time with a poetic representation of the sky.
Bevelling consists in chamfering and then polishing the edges of the movement components. This finish highlights the contours of the parts, catches the light and reveals the precision of the work devoted to the smallest details.
Straight stripes are a decorative finish formed of regular parallel bands on the movement components. They structure the surface, soften reflections and highlight the geometry of the bridges.
Stretching and dressing prepare or finish metal surfaces through the regular working of the material. These operations create clean, flat and even surfaces, essential both to visual quality and to assembly precision.
Engine-turning engraves regular patterns into the material using a hand-operated lathe. At Breguet, this expertise structures the dial, catches the light and reinforces the legibility of the indications.
