Breguet precious materials

At Breguet, the choice of a material does not respond solely to an aesthetic pursuit. Each metal is selected for its properties, its stability over time and its ability to meet the demands of watchmaking construction as well as those of decorative finishes.

Breguet gold

An 18K alloy developed by the Maison, inspired by the golds used in the 18th century and recognisable by its warm, subtly rosy hue.

Platinum

Rare, dense and naturally white, platinum is distinguished by its understated radiance and singular presence. Working with it requires particular mastery, both in machining and in finishing operations.

Titanium

Combining lightness, resistance and low sensitivity to magnetism, titanium allows Breguet to push certain limits of watchmaking construction. The Maison uses it both for movement components and for the creation of cases that are both robust and contemporary.
