The movement of this model is made of gold and reveals two tourbillons, which set the mainplate in motion thanks to a central differential.
The entire mechanism, fully exposed, pivots on itself, completing a rotation in 12 hours. Each Tourbillon functions independently, making a full rotation in 1 minute. Connected together, the regulating organs perform a double revolution, powering the tourbillon bridge, which doubles as the hour hand. The mastery of the watchmaking art goes along with aesthetic virtuosity at Breguet. Each component is hand finished, while the caseback features an engraving of the Maison on the Quai de l’Horloge, the Parisian building where A.-L. Breguet carried out his work.

Tourbillon
Invented by Abraham-Louis Breguet in 1801, the tourbillon is designed to compensate for the effects of gravity on the regulating organ. By placing the escapement and the balance wheel in a mobile cage, it remains one of the House’s most emblematic complications.
Bevelling
Bevelling consists in chamfering and then polishing the edges of the movement components. This finish highlights the contours of the parts, catches the light and reveals the precision of the work devoted to the smallest details.
Hand engraving
Hand engraving consists in incising the material using traditional tools to create decorations, inscriptions or motifs. Each gesture calls upon the artisan’s expertise and gives the piece a unique character.
Guilloché
Engine-turning engraves regular patterns into the material using a hand-operated lathe. At Breguet, this expertise structures the dial, catches the light and reinforces the legibility of the indications.
Polishing
Mirror polishing consists in working the surface until a perfectly smooth and brilliant reflection is obtained. This finish requires great regularity in order to reveal the material without distorting the angles or volumes of the component.
