Beneath its “Grand feu” enamel dial is an extra-flat automatic Tourbillon movement, visible through a sapphire caseback.
The information present on this watch has been deliberately reduced to the essentials, to draw attention towards the key element, the Tourbillon. Breguet has opted for a visual tourbillon bar angled by hand and topped by a spinel. Furthermore, the blue Breguet hands contrast against the white of the traditional enamel to ensure that the hours and minutes are perfectly legible. The hours chapter in Breguet Arabic numerals is off-centred at 11 o’clock, in opposition to the tourbillon at 5 o’clock. This way of displaying information recalls the pocket watches created by A.-L. Breguet, who revolutionised the aesthetic conventions of the timepieces of his epoch.

The seconds display makes it possible to follow the passage of time with precision. Depending on the construction of the movement, it may take the form of a central seconds hand or an off-centred small seconds display, integrated into the architecture of the dial.
Invented by Abraham-Louis Breguet in 1801, the tourbillon is designed to compensate for the effects of gravity on the regulating organ. By placing the escapement and the balance wheel in a mobile cage, it remains one of the House’s most emblematic complications.

La gravure main consiste à inciser la matière à l’aide d’outils traditionnels pour créer décors, inscriptions ou motifs. Chaque geste engage le savoir-faire de l’artisan et confère à la pièce un caractère unique.
Le guillochage grave des motifs réguliers dans la matière à l’aide d’un tour actionné à la main.
Chez Breguet, ce savoir-faire structure le cadran, capte la lumière et renforce la lisibilité des indications.
Le polissage miroir consiste à travailler la surface jusqu’à obtenir un reflet parfaitement lisse et brillant.
Cette finition exige une grande régularité, afin de révéler la matière sans déformer les angles ni les volumes du composant.
