Classique Tourbillon 5359
Snow-set diamonds adorn the dial of this tourbillon model.
The Tourbillon is Breguet's flagship complication, created by its founder, A.-L. Breguet. The movement of this hand-wound model is engraved on the back with the words "Brevet du 7 Messidor An 9", which references the date of filing of the patent, and is equivalent to the Republican calendar of 26 June, 1801. On the front, the tourbillon is topped by a blued "B"-shaped bar, as are the iconic open-tipped Breguet hands. The decoration continues on the bezel, lugs and crown, which are adorned with diamonds.
