The Marine collection, watchmaking in motion

Inspired by Abraham-Louis Breguet's appointment as Horologer to the French Royal Navy, the Marine collection reinterprets this prestigious heritage through contemporary timepieces. Wave-pattern guilloché, satin-brushed finishes and refined engravings illustrate the decorative arts cultivated by the Maison for more than two centuries. Here, watchmaking tradition finds expression in a distinctly sporty spirit.

Time for navigation

Appointed Watchmaker to the Royal Navy in 1815, Abraham-Louis Breguet developed chronometers capable of maintaining a regular rate despite the movements of the ship and variations in temperature. Used together with the sextant, these instruments enabled navigators to determine their longitude and accompanied several major expeditions of the 19th century.
