Type XX Chronograph 2067RK Rose Gold
by Jeffrey S. KingstonTiming for pleasure features prominently in the history of the chronograph. The landmark events were horse races on the Champs de Mars in Paris. In order to time the horses, the early invention consisted of an arm with an inked tip which could be depressed upon a rotating disk to mark the start of the timing and lifted at the conclusion. As it was, in effect, a combination of a rotating component for timing, chrono, and a paper disk with inked marks, graph, the name chronograph came into being and endures today. Aviation brought another purpose, vital precision timing for critical navigation tasks.
Today, these two notions of the chronograph…pleasure and essential precision timing…have been woven together. A prestige chronograph’s personality defined by both. Vividly expressing both of these dimensions is the new Breguet Type XX 2067 carried out in rose gold.

The new 2067 Type XX weaves together two dimensions of a prestige chronograph: a precision timing instrument and the luxury of a rose gold case and a ceramic blue bezel.

Underlying the luxury touches of a rose gold case fitted with Breguet's easy strap-changing system and highlighted with a ceramic bezel is the precision 5 Hz caliber 728 movement.
Of course, its movement is steely eyed in the pursuit of timing perfection and respect for aviation tradition. Its aesthetic details glow. Contrasting with its rose gold case are the deep blue dial and blue ceramic bezel. Each of the dial’s applied luminescent Arabic numerals are framed in gold, as are the hands. The applied Breguet signature on the dial is gilded.
The strap versions of the new Type XXs incorporate Breguet’s easy strap changing system. A simple push on the tab located on the back side of the strap, both releases the attached strap and facilitates the fitting of a second strap. For the rose gold model, two straps are supplied: blue leather and blue with white accenting NATO. Both are equipped with rose gold buckles.
