The Houses of Breguet and Bugatti recently gathered in Tokyo for an exclusive cocktail event. On this occasion, VIP clients, journalists as well as watchmaking and automobile aficionados attended a private presentation on the history that unites both brands. One of the evening’s highlights was, without a doubt, the famous dashboard chronograph No. 2023, that Breguet created specifically for the car manufacturer in 1932. Intended to be placed on the steering wheel of Bugatti’s “Royale” cars, this timepiece featuring a tachymeter function was acquired by the watchmaking House at an auction last February. Guests were pleased to see this piece up-close, which attests to the remarkable diversification demonstrated by the Manufacture since its foundation in 1775.
