A Stainless Steel Bracelet

by Jeffrey S. Kingston

When the two variants, Type 20 and Type XX, debuted there were two strap options, both supplied with the timepiece, leather and woven NATO. There is now a new option, a stainless steel bracelet with a steel closure. Like nearly all metal bracelets, links can be removed to fit the owner’s wrist. The closure system, easily operated by the owner, promises even finer length adjustments. Each side of the closure has two positions: closed and, slightly lengthening the fit by 1.6 mm, open. This system therefore enables three different lengths: both adjusters closed, one open, and, third, both open.

THE STEEL CLASP

The design of the clasp for the integrated stainless steel bracelet allows for a three position micro length adjustment: in the shortest length with both sides closed and to lengthen, one side expanded or two sides expanded.

In common with nearly all metal bracelets, links can be removed to fit the owner’s wrist. The closure system, easily operated by the owner, promises even finer length adjustments.
