Nacido en París, el escritor francés Henri Murger (1822-1861) publicó “Escenas de la vida bohemia" en 1848. Su éxito inmediato le permitió adaptar la obra para teatro en 1851 y en 1896 inspiró la famosa ópera de Giacomo Puccini “La Bohème”.
