The House of Breguet recently met collectors and enthusiasts of fine watchmaking in Singapore, Vietnam and Cambodia. These brand aficionados were invited to discover Breguet’s story narrated by one of its vice-presidents, specializing in watchmaking history and who’s devoted himself to the work of Abraham-Louis Breguet. During a dinner, guests could imagine the brilliant watchmaker’s career, which was distinguished by masterly inventions: the automatic watch, referred to as “a perpetuelle,” the gong spring for repeater watches, the tourbillon and the creation of the first wristwatch.
