Breguet Wins Two Major Prizes at the Montre de l’Année Competition

On Thursday November 19, the Breguet Tradition Automatique Seconde Rétrograde watch was awarded twice by the jury and the public of Montres Passion, who both designated it as Montre de l’Année 2015 (Watch of the Year 2015).

This exceptional timepiece of unique architecture won over the magazine’s ten jurors, all independent watchmaking experts, who praised it for the originality of its design, its fine craftsmanship and the meticulous care with which its movement has been decorated. Presented among 40 other timepieces on the website of Montres Passion, the Breguet Tradition 7097 also won the hearts of fine watchmaking aficionados, who gave it one-third of their votes.

This dual award is a first for the Montre de l’Année competition since its inception 20 years ago. No timepiece has ever succeeded in winning both the jury and the public’s choice, until the Breguet Tradition Automatique Seconde Rétrograde.
