Openworked hand-wound movement, entirely engraved by hand, with Tourbillon regulator. Running seconds on the tourbillon carriage at 6 o'clock, itself secured by two sapphire crystals. Sapphire-crystal caseback.

The tourbillon, A.-L. Breguet's historic invention patented in 1801, was conceived to compensate for rate errors resulting from the effect of gravity on the moving parts.
