Breguet in Hollywood

Approached by the celebrated film director Peter Weir (Dead Poets Society, The Truman Show, The Year of Living Dangerously and others), Breguet designed and supplied the period timepieces featured in his latest film, “Master and Commander, The Far Side of the World”. Based on Patrick O’Brian’s famed book series, the scenario depicts the adventures of captain Jack Aubrey, played by Russell Crowe (Gladiator, The Insider, A Beautiful Mind, ...) and ship’s physician Stephen Maturin, played by Paul Bettany.
